The Museum of Real History

The aim of the lecture performance is to explore conspiracy theories mixing fiction and a harsh reality and creating an alternative reality to nourish mass-paranoia.

The museum will showcase artworks posing as scientific evidence, such as manipulated photos, fake maps, drawings, earth models in order to create an incontestable parallel reality and underline the absurdity of these theories, revealing the insult they represent to collective and individual intelligence.

A group of artworks makes up an exhibition called “The Museum of Real History”. The audience would arrive to an art gallery or a theather hall or any space that could host a classical exhibition, artworks would be presented just like any contemporary art exhibition/scientific evidence.
The audience will be welcomed by a fake curator/expert (a performer) that will present the works/pieces of evidence to the audience explaining his curation line, with all the well-known seriousness and attitude of high-end curators.

Audience members will interact with the contents, sometimes for real, others by a fake audience in agreement with the artists.

The idea of these works would be to create confusing evidence that link conspiracy theories such as the pyramid were built by aliens with the global migration crisis or global warming with the disappearance of the Malaysian airlines.
Abduljabbar Alsuhili
Helsingborg, Sweden

Good things come in small sizes. I may be on the shorter end in terms of height, but when it comes to persistence, “heights" are sky high. Through passion and perseverance, my first acting role was at the age of 9. I dream to ingrain the culture of theatre in my Yemeni community. I was once titled The Charlie Chaplin of Yemen by critics. I use art for social and political change. I have led my organisation into the production of plays, standup comedy, films and TV & radio drama.

I graduated from Sana'a University and that's was one of biggest mistakes I have done, I took many theatre workshops in various parts of the world, last one I am participating in nowadays for the second time is Mask theatre at Malmo theatre academy and modern dance.

Deputy manager of Rawbiit (art critic group), a well-known YouTube channel in Yemen that works in a unique and fun way. Several theatre cultural Projects in Yemen since 2000, the best one was the mobile theatre 1 and 2. The role of the clown in (Romeo och Julia) at Helsingborg city theater. (Hiroshima mon amour) and these days (The Mother Courage and Her Children) at Malmo theatre academy. (Dhow Under the Sun) by Kevin Spacey foundation in UAE.

Ivana Šáteková
Bratislava, Slovakia

I was born in Slovakia. And my whole life I've been trying to get used to it. Living in a capital city is different than living in Slovakia. My work is all about trying to understand Slovak nation. Why they are racists, homophobic, xenophobic and phobic generally. To change their point of view is my art mission. As I read today, one message Nazis wrote me is that they want to send me to Auschwitz. So maybe I am doing something wrong.
I studied at a Christian high school that influenced me lot :) So I started to study at the Academy of fine arts in Bratislava. I studied painting but my great professor Fischer supported us in experimenting so I could try all medias, such as drawing, animating, video, wall-painting, embroidery. I finished in 2012.
After finishing school, I started working in a studio on my projects and exhibitions. Now I'm working on plan how to write about it in 500 characters.

I changed high schools 3 times, never reached a Master's Degree. I understood very quickly the absurdity of academia and its uselessness in my field of work. I had to work very hard to make myself understandable to people most of the time on stage with actors (amateurs and professional from different background). Can't really say what I learned in the streets as it is illegal in more than 25 countries and immoral in most religions.
I mainly worked during the last 12 years within Zoukak Theatre Company. I also taught in schools and universities, locally and internationally, worked for 24 hours as a bouncer, staged many failures and a few successful plays.
